SlumboTales ("we," "us," "our") is a bedtime story generation service designed for parents and guardians. Our app creates personalized AI-generated bedtime stories for children, read aloud by narrated characters.

Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use SlumboTales:

  • Account information: Email address and password (or Google account info if using Google sign-in)
  • Story prompts: The text you type to generate stories
  • Generated stories: The story text and audio files created by our AI
  • Usage data: Basic analytics like pages visited and features used

What We Do NOT Collect

  • Children's personal information (names, ages, locations)
  • Voice recordings or biometric data
  • Location data
  • Contacts or phone numbers

How We Use Your Information

  • To create and store your personalized bedtime stories
  • To authenticate your account and protect your data
  • To improve our service and fix bugs
  • To communicate important service updates

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate SlumboTales:

  • OpenAI: Generates story text (your prompts are sent to OpenAI's API)
  • ElevenLabs: Converts story text to narrated audio
  • Supabase: Stores your account data and story metadata
  • Cloudflare R2: Stores story audio files
  • Vercel: Hosts the application

Each service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

Data Retention

Your stories and account data are stored as long as your account is active. You can delete individual stories at any time from your Story Library. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at the email below.

Children's Privacy

SlumboTales is designed for use by parents and guardians who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent for data processing
  • Export your data in a portable format

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), database row-level security, and secure API key management. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
